It all began with an idea of creating nudescape/bodyscape art, then eventually leading to creating shibari rope art. Shibari reflects core Japanese philosophies, particularly zanshin (remaining focus) and shikata ga nai (accepting what cannot be changed). Each knot is both an anchor and a surrender—a physical manifestation of mental discipline. Practitioners often speak of shibari not as a craft but as a form of moving meditation, where repetition becomes ritual and movement becomes mindfulness. I have always admired the art of shibari rope art, but had never trusted anyone to tie me up after having experienced a lot of physical abuse, particularly inflicted by males. Having spoken to Cory a lot over the time we’ve got to know each other, I learned to trust that his intentions are nothing but pure and artistic. Also having saw his other creative work with other models, trusting him came naturally - allowing us to create what we have so far, and having many more ideas in the pipelines.
